Student Success Seminar

As a new student you are required to participate in SOAR, GTCC's Student Success Seminar, in order to register early.

To enroll at GTCC and attend a session, you must first:  

1. Complete your GTCC Admission application.
2. Complete any college required placement testing. Bring transcripts with you from any previously attended colleges or Advanced Placement scores for advising.

 

**You will not be able to register for Fall classes through SOAR unless you have completed your application, any required testing and have a copy of your transcript(s) with you. Do not register for SOAR until you have completed all steps.

 SOAR will jumpstart your success in college by providing you with information on how to succeed and achieve your dreams and goals in life. Your PATH TO SUCCESS begins with this valuable FOUR HOUR seminar. You will meet other students, and learn about college resources, study skills and successful student behaviors. Finally, you will meet with an academic advisor to plan for your spring classes and beyond.

After your four-hour seminar, you will have the opportunity to register for classes. The deadline for payment is August 6th for all registrations.

Each session is open to a limited number of participants. Please do not sign up for multiple sessions or sign up for the same session more than one time. Your program of study will determine the location of your success seminar. NOTE: The earlier you attend SOAR orientation and register for classes, the better your selection of classes and times will be.
